Maven - Restaurant & Wine Bar
Maven – Restaurant & Wine Bar is a straightforward eatery in Nikolaj Church, right in the city's solar plexus. It serves quality wines and good beers at honest prices and classic, home-made food of the best ingredients.
Think of – and with – the 'stomach (Maven)' when it comes to a well-made lunch, a good cup of coffee or a relaxing dinner when it is time 'to put your feet up'..
The place have borrowed the old nickname for Nikolaj Plads, which in the 1800s was home to the town's butcher's market and was therefore called the 'stomach (Maven)' by the people of Copenhagen.
We have removed the bloody traces and aired out thoroughly, but the informal charm is still here.

Vingaarden - Enoteca é Pizzeria
Vingaarden's ambitious team wishes to bring the best of Italy into the heart of Copenhagen.
The restaurant works with a simple and minimalistic menu carried out of the highest quality ingredients – a philosophy that is good for both the stomach and the environment.
In the 1960s Restaurant Vingården was one of Jazz's hotspots, which gathered the Copenhageners in Vingårdsstræde. The name can be traced back to King Hans, who in the 16th century had his vineyard here – thus Restaurant Vingaarden's natural passion for wine, which they will happily tell you more about and guide you through.
